Artyom Yevgeny Chebyshev
Born in the unforgiving harshness of post-cataclysmic Russia, Artyom currently acts as Alpha Team's vehicle and repair specialist.
Disgraced by the war camp of Boris Orloff for his father's alleged treachery, a young Artyom was forced to live in the slums of Donetsk. Here he found himself rising through the ranks of a hoverbike gang calling themselves the Moskva Hellriders, where he learned much about high-speed combat and vehicle repair. When he was later framed for the gang leader's assassination, Artyom had no choice but to flee, living on the run for a time and scavenging to survive. He learned many of his useful salvage skills during this time, scouting Russia's infamous Deadzones for useful or valuable artifacts. He would later come to join Warlord Kolodenko's camp as an auxiliary in the Mechanized Cavalry, but eventually grew bored with the lack of individual freedom - mostly not being able to drink on the job and design emplacement weaponry for "anti-moon defenses". Having few opportunities left in Russia, he soon found himself seeking vodka and tech on the other side of the planet, until one fateful night in a hazy Chi-Town bar left him contractually obligated to work on the mysterious Bostock expedition... |
Hoverbike Pilot
Growing up in a street bike gang and later working with Kolodenko's skilled mechanized cavalry gave Artyom an edge when it comes to the workings of every kind of speeder bike. He can pilot any bike into combat with extreme adeptitude, and can perform repairs and modifications even with only a half roll of duct tape, a rubber band, and some paper clips.

Weapon EngineerSpecializing in harpoon guns and any weaponry designed to damage the moon, Artyom is capable of heavy modifications to most ranged weaponry originating on Earth. He also has experience with heavy energy weaponry and vehicle-mounted weapons. A lifetime of working with tech has given him plenty of engineering knowledge which he mostly squanders but occasionally uses to great effect.

Partial Cyborg
Artyom claims to have lost one or both arms in various tragic incidents and/or hilarious accidents, but with the prevalence and accepted status of cyborg tech in Russia it is just as likely that his augmentation was elective.

Drunken Madman
A genetic predisposition towards alcoholism, a cultural fear of the occult and arcane, several malfunctioning cybernetics, a very literal technophilia, and an overwhelming phobia of the moon in any phase: these elements make Artyom's state of mind dynamic and unpredictable. This is often hilarious but sometimes quite dangerous.
