Triax VX-8008 "Schicksal-Häschen" Full Conversion Cyborg
Exclusive to the Armed Forces of the New German Republic (NGR)
Quite possibly the most heavily armed and armored standard cyborg body type designed by the engineers at Triax is the VX-8008. Known as the "Pink Type" due to its unique pink super dense composite alloy armor, the 'borg looks more like something that walked out of a kid's cartoon than a weapon factory. The military brass decided to equip this pink monstrosity with extremely heavy hydraulics and servos, enhancing its strength while piling on as much armor and weapons as the thing could carry. As a last mocking gesture to their demonic adversaries, certain cyborg combat troops elect to replace their standard faceplate with that of a cybernetic bunny rabbit, which has given the body type its name "Schicksal-Häschen" - the translation being "Doom-Bunny." Leave it to the Germans to somehow make bunny rabbits scary.
Nicknames: "The Pink Type" or "Pink Cyber-Bunny of Doom."
Model Type: VX-8008
Class: Full Conversion Cyborg - Heavy Assault.
Crew: One human volunteer.
M.D.C. by Location:
Hands (2): 20 each
Arms (2): 70 each
Legs (2): 190 each
Ears (2): 40 each
Chainsaw: 60
TX-808 Particle Beam: 180
Mini-Missile Launcher: 100
Slammer Concussion Missile Launcher: 100
*Head: 160
**Main Body: 380
Triax Super Heavy Cyborg Armor: 450
*Destroying the head of the cyborg will KILL the character. However, the head is a small and difficult target to hit. The attacker must make a Called Shot and even then, he is -3 to strike. But why would you shoot it in the head? It's so cute!!!
**Depleting the M.D.C. of the main body will effectively destroy the artificial body, but emergency systems will keep the brain and vital organs alive for up to one week. Recovery of the severely damaged body will enable doctors to place the character on a life support system that will keep him alive until a new bionic body (same style or another) is available. Failure to find the damaged 'borg within one week means that the character dies. Similarly, massive amounts of damage (125 points below zero) completely destroy the 'borg with no hope of recovery.
Speed:
Running: 120 mph (210 kph) inside Heavy Cyborg Armor.
Leaping: 25 feet (9.2 m) high or lengthwise. A running start adds another 15 feet (4.6 m). 90 feet (27.4 m) high or lengthwise when using the small rear jets and powerful legs combined.
Flying: Via jet pack only. The jets are only to assist with leaping.
Statistical Data:
Average Height: 8 feet (3.7 m).
Width: 4 feet (1.5 m).
Weight: 1 ton.
Physical Attributes: Robotic P.S. of 41 and P.P. of 24.
Power System: Nuclear; average life is 20 years.
Black Market Cost: Not available.
Penalties: The Heavy Cyborg Armor provides superior mega-damage protection but limits the 'borg's maximum speed, prowling is impossible, and the character has penalties factored into his bonuses to strike, parry , dodge, and roll with impact.
Standard Bionic Features (non-weapon types):
Weapon Systems:
1. TX-808 Shoulder-Mounted Particle Beam: A variant of the TX-502, the TX-808 is a heavy damage dealer. It is primarily used for assault against hardened targets and is often requested for front line troops. Primary Purpose: Assault.
Secondary Purpose: Anti-armor/anti-gurgoyle.
Damage: 3D4x10 M.D. per single full powered blast.
Range: 5,000 feet.
Rate of Fire: Single shots only.
Payload: Effectively unlimited.
Special Features: Independent coordinated targeting; +3 to strike. The unit gets a critical strike on a Natural 18, 19 or 20.
2. Vibro-Chainsaw: Also known as "The Carrot Cutter," the arm-mounted vibro-chainsaw is a special melee weapon designed for combating gurgoyles who get too close. The weapon can fold up over the forearm when not in use to allow use of the right hand.
Primary Purpose: Defense.
Secondary Purpose: Defense.
Damage: 6D6 M.D., which is added to the punch damage of the cyborg.
3. Mini-Missile Launcher (4): Mounted over the right shoulder.
Primary Purpose: Anti-personnel.
Secondary Purpose: Anti-missile.
Damage: Varies with missile type.
Range: Varies with missile type.
Rate of Fire: One at a time, or in volleys of 2, 4, 8, 14, or 28.
Payload: 28.
4. "Slammer" Concussion Missile Launcher: Mounted on the right side of the cyborg is a launcher designed for the slammer concussion missiles made famous by the Triax Dyna-Max.
Primary Purpose: Anti-Gargoyle.
Secondary Purpose: Anti-personnel.
Damage: 1D4x10 M.D. from a direct hit by the missile. More importantly, the concussion effect has a blast radius of 90 feet (27.4 m) in diameter. All within the blast radius suffer 1D4x10 M.D. and are likely (01-88%) to be knocked off of their feet and stunned (01-65%). If only knocked down, the victim of this attack will have ringing ears and a headache, but only loses one melee action and initiative. A victim of a direct attack is always knocked off of his feet. If stunned, the victim is dazed, -10 to strike, parry, dodge, roll with impact, and pull punch, is the last to attack, and loses half of his melee actions for 1D4 rounds! Spd is also reduced by half.
Range: 6,000 feet (1,830 m).
Rate of Fire: One at a time or in volleys of 2.
Payload: 2.
5. Hand-to-Hand Combat: The cyborg can engage in mega-damage combat due to its robotic strength.
Combat Bonuses: +5 to strike, +6 initiative, +7 to parry, +8 to dodge, +4 to pull punch, +6 to roll with impact, +1 to save vs. psionics, +2 to save vs. possession, +1 to save vs. magic illusions and mind control, and +1 to save vs. Horror Factor. Bonuses for P.P. 24 and optic sensors have been included. These bonuses are in addition to any bonuses from superior training and skill.
Damage:
6. Optional Handheld Weapons: Rail guns, energy rifles, grenades, or melee weapons can be used. Other bionic systems, weapons, and devices such as concealed weapon rods, hidden compartments, and the like may also be integrated into this 'borg.
7. Typical Training/Skills: See the Cyborg Soldier O.C.C. for complete details. As for the VX-8008, there are no special skill options.
8. Systems of Note: See above for the standard systems. Additional systems can be added as the character sees fit.
